I'm not saying I can guarantee to make you a millionaire. But I believe it's possible with good planning that you could make it there.
I've set myself a personal goal to make, and my friends, millionaires by the time we reach retirement.
Some tips would be:
- Make savings a priority.
- Invest early and consistently.
- Cut unnecessary expenses
- Discussion with finance professional.
- Put your plan on repeat.
"Commitment is Key."
I used a compounding calculator to get an idea of how I can get there. If I put $250 per month consistently, with an average return of 8%, after 39 years I could achieve a fund value of over $ 1 million. The most shocking part is that around $800,000 of this is the interest earned over that time.
Why work so hard all of your life during your career, to have nothing to show for it at the end? Be smarts and make your money do all the hard work for you. Time really is key here, as the sooner you start the better.
Common Mistake:
> Most people think they don't need financial planner or advisor, and loose most of their hard earned money. Always discuss with your financial planner and/or advisor.
> Most of the time people think only investing in mutual fund or insurance is sufficient for them which is obviously not sufficient for their financial goal. Always invest after discussion with your financial planner or advisor.
